Applying Artist Information
Park Ave Summer Art Fest is a juried arts and crafts festival.
Only those who are hand-on makers of their products may apply. There are 15 categories of artists including jewelry, woodworking, metalwork, ceramics and fiber artists. (See List Below)
The booth fee is $265, plus a $25 application fee.
In addition to the Artist categories, there are several categories of exhibitors. Exhibitors include caricaturists, packaged food items, henna artists, most candle makers, body care items and others. No buy-sell is allowed in any booth of Artists or Exhibitors.
Set-up and Festival Hours
The show takes place on Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 10-5. Friday evening set-up is available. It is outdoors along 1 ¼ mile of Park Avenue on the curb going back over the sidewalk. You may drive up to booth location for set-up and tear-down. Parking is limited on the streets and there are lots to rent a parking space in a few areas.
There are preferential hotel rates, Sunday morning continental breakfast and Block Captains for assistance and booth sitting.
Categories
Ceramics: Original clay work handmade & individually signed by the artist. No work from commercial kits, molds or patterns allowed.
Drawing/Graphics: Pencil, charcoal, chalk, pastels, seriographs.
Fiber-Accessories: Bags, purses, hats, belts, scarves, including those made from leather.
Fiber-Other: Wall hangings, quilts, rugs, mats, etc.
Fiber-Wearable: Fiber work intended to be worn.
Glass: No molds or other forms of mass production
Jewelry: Jewelers must be the designers & hands-on makers of their work.
Metalwork: Functional or sculptural.
Painting: Oils, acrylics, tempera, watercolor, etc.
Painting: Decorative - Applied to glass, wood, slate, etc objects as decoration.
Photography: Prints made from artists’ original negatives, processed by the artist.
Sculpture: 3-dimensional original work done in any medium
Toys/Dolls: For children or collectors.
Wood: Original hand-tooled, machine-worked or carved work.
